FAQs

Do you take insurance?

Our practice does not accept insurance we are able to process your HSA card for payments.  After your session, we will provide an invoice (also called a Superbill) that you can submit to your health care provider.  Keep in mind that the total cost may or may or be reimbursed by your provider.

We also partner with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. If you have out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed.   Click here to use the Mentaya benefit checker to see if you qualify.

Note: Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and our practice does not benefit in any way from your participation.

Why don't you take insurance?

The health care industry has seen monumental change over recent years.  Some of the change has been good and some not so good.  Many insurance providers have gradually moved their focus from the wellbeing of the individuals to cost cutting and an one-size fits-all approach to mental health.  Each client's circumstances are unique and your frequency and length of your sessions should be based on your needs, not a predetermined schedule constructed by a CFO in a corporate office.

Why should I fill out the forms before arriving at the first session?

The questions on the forms give our team critical information that help us to prepare for your first session.  In addition, filling out the forms in advance allows your therapist more time to focus on why you are seeking help and what your goals are, rather than filling out paperwork.
